Dr. Amy Martin is an obstetrician and gynecologist with over 20 years of experience caring for women in all phases of life. She has been known for her dedication to her patients, frequently delivering all of her babies despite the call schedule. She derives gratification from knowing the patient and her family and from fostering women through the transitions of life that can be challenging.
Raised in Western Pennsylvania, she attended Northwestern University, where she received her undergraduate degree in political science. She spent one year of college at the University of Seville in Spain, where she learned to speak Spanish while studying the economics of Latin America. After college, she completed a post-baccalaureate degree in science at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. She attended medical school at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and was awarded her M.D. Since her graduation, Dr. Martin has been proud to be a Texan. She completed her internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Baylor University Medical Center of Dallas, where she established her private practice in 2002.
Dr. Martin is particularly interested in menopause, bioidentical hormone therapy, and preventative women’s healthcare. Dr. Martin is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is currently working toward a dual certification from the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Dr. Martin currently resides in Dallas with her husband. She is the proud mother of 2 grown sons. When not caring for patients, she spends time cheering her children on from the sidelines, cooking and spending relaxing time with her family and dogs on the lake.
